I am a fourth-year PhD candidate at the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. I am supervised by IEEE Fellow Prof. Jun Zhang(張軍).
Prior to this, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from Hainan University with the highest graduation honor of “Student of the Year”(Top 10/Univ.), while was supervised by Prof. Jieren Cheng and Prof. Zhuhua Hu. I then earned my MPhil degree at the Cloud Computing Center of SIAT, Chinese Academy of Science supervised by Prof. Lujia Wang. Following that, I joined HKUST for my Ph.D. studies and completed my coursework at the Robotics Institute with Prof. Ming Liu during the first two years. During my studies, In 2020-2021, I worked on the development of Macau’s first self-driving bus, led by IEEE Fellow Prof. Cheng-Zhong Xu at the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC) of the University of Macau. In 2021-2022, I participated in some of the vehicle testing/presentation work of Hong Kong’s first autonomous vehicle license in HKUST.
My research interest includes Cloud/Edge Robotic Systems, 5G/6G in Robotics and Federated Learning. I am open to various collaborative opportunities.
I’ve journeyed through a long, winding, and challenging academic path, so here I am, an “old PhD student” — the struggle is real!😅

Smart 6G LLM Glasses & HKUST 6G Corner, Year: 2023-2024

Information:
- During the second and third years of my PhD, I spent a year and a half for a communication system that is deployed in 6G Corner at HKUST. This project featured a service-specific slice system, was further developed and extended based on OAI. Additionally, I developed a 6G LLM-powered smart glasses system, showcased in the latter part of the video. This is a subsection of 6G@HongKong Project. The entire 6G@HK project is led by Khaled Letaief. The 6G corner is in ICDC at HKUST CYT building led by Patrick Yue. Behind me in the video is the communications chip work he’s leading. - 2025.01: 🎉🎉 We were awarded the Hainan Provincial Annual Artificial Intelligence Advancement Award.
